DO NOT FEAR

I greet all of you with the peace of the Lord. For the thought I wish to share with you today, Saturday 20 July 2024, I will read a biblical verse written in:
Psalm 91:5-6 (NIV)

“You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.”

In the heart of Psalm 91, a divine promise resonates that offers relief and comfort to those who entrust themselves with faith to the Lord.
These words, pronounced with strength and reassuring confidence, invite us to abandon all fears and worries, taking refuge in the protective embrace of the Almighty.
The image clearly emerges of a God who not only watches over us, but who surrounds us with a shield of invincible power. He protects us from the dangers that populate the night and the day, from contagious diseases and sudden disasters.
This protection does not come from a magical force or blind destiny, but from the infinite love of a Father who knows our weaknesses and our fears.
In a world often marked by uncertainty, violence and disease, Psalm 91 offers us a message of hope and encouragement.
It does not mean that we will be immune to the suffering or adversities of life, but rather that, in the midst of difficulties, we can find strength and consolation in the certainty of divine love and protection.

Today we want to pray together to the Lord saying: Father of Love, with a grateful and trusting heart, I turn to You, source of all security and protection. On dark nights and uncertain days, when fear threatens to overwhelm me, please remind me of your promise to keep me under the shadow of your wings. Preserve me from the dangers that surround me, visible and invisible, and give me the strength to face trials with courage and serenity. May your light be my guide and your love my refuge in every moment of my life. In the name of Jesus... Amen!
With love, Ivano Salerno
