These words were sung by Deborah after the Lord gave them the victory. He wanted everyone to know that he praised the God of Israel because he had delivered them from the oppression of their enemies. He was not ashamed to sing in public about God and His wonders. She sang to Him with a grateful heart.
How courageous are we in declaring God's faithfulness and help? After receiving a positive response to the prayers we offer before God, how many of us are His witnesses? Have we declared His power and mighty works to others, or have we been timid and refused to openly declare what the Lord has done for us? God still works miracles in our lives today. What kind of attitude do we have when we receive answers to our prayers? With a grateful heart we witness to others the wonders that the Lord does for us. When the ten lepers were healed by Jesus, only one returned to the Lord with a grateful heart.
Return to God and thank Him for everything you have received. Declare the mighty deeds of the Lord to those around you and continue to seek Him always.
This morning we want to pray together saying: Heavenly Father, thank you for Your word. Thank you for what you do for me. I want to tell everyone about the great things you accomplish in my life. Help me to be your faithful witness. In the Name of Jesus... Amen!
