The widow of Zarephath had enough flour for what was to be her last meal.
While she was gathering sticks to prepare the meal, the prophet Elijah met her and asked her for food and water. In fact, he told her to prepare food first for him, and then for her and her baby.
It was a great challenge for the widow of Zarephath to use the last bit of flour to prepare a meal for the Prophet instead of for her family. But she trusted the God of Elijah! And his faith opened a perpetual source of food in a season of famine.
Are we ready to give everything to God when He asks us to? If we trust in God like the widow of Zarephath, He will change insufficiency into abundance!
Today we want to pray together to the Lord saying: Father of Love, I come to You. I want to trust you. Help me to believe in the promises of Your word. In the name of Jesus... Amen!
