A faithful person will be richly blessed, but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished.
Loyalty is something we don't come across easily in this generation. We change companies when we get bored, we upgrade our phones when they start to slow down, and even relationships are taken lightly. The Bible, however, explicitly states the importance of faithfulness. The fundamental principle outlined in today's proverb is that when you are faithful in what you do, you will be filled with blessings.
What does it mean to be faithful? The dictionary defines him as loyal, committed, resolute, constant, true, reliable and devoted. It is important to try to apply these adjectives to the many roles we play in our lives. Ask yourself these questions (at least the ones relevant to your current state in life):
• Am I a true friend?
• Am I committed to my work?
• Am I firm in my faith?
• Am I a reliable spouse?
• Am I a devoted child or parent?
If you have been faithful and done your best in the place where God has placed you, you can be sure that you will be richly blessed. You will be blessed with everything you need to continue living a life that honors. You are a child of God; in Him you will lack nothing.
Today we want to pray together and say: God the Father, I thank you for how you encourage me. Help me to be faithful in everything with Your help. In the name of Jesus... Amen!
