Anyone who has a tiring day at work would like to go home as soon as possible to relax. Jesus calls to himself all those who are tired and oppressed, those who are tired. The only place of rest and security is Jesus. While there are some people who push rules and dogmas to others as the way to go to heaven, there is Jesus on the other side who calls people to Him, as He is unique and exclusive way to go to the Father.
Jesus wants to give rest to all those who are burdened, by shame, guilt and defeat. He wants them to learn from Him. He welcomes all who come to Him with a sincere heart. This love of Jesus draws people to Him and they feel the warmth of His embrace and will be able to experience His love in their lives. Jesus gives them mercy and forgiveness. It gives them the certainty of being loved. Thus they find rest for their souls.
Go to Jesus how many of you feel tired and oppressed today. Jesus is ready to give rest to your soul. Let Him fill your hearts and minds with His peace. Accept His invitation to your life today.
Together we pray to the Lord telling him: God of love, I thank you for your word. Thank you for your great love. I trust in you with all my heart. Give me rest and refreshment. ... In the name of Jesus, Amen!
